About Us
For more than 95 years, Batavia United Way has partnered with our local community to co-create solutions to people's most pressing challenges. We take a comprehensive approach, listening and responding to local needs. With our community partners, we create pathways to better healthcare, expanded youth opportunities, and financial security building a more resilient community. Together, we are working towards a future where every person in our community can thrive.
In addition to providing Community Grants to programs that support residents of Batavia, we also are the administrator of Batavia's Dolly Parton Imagination Library providing free monthly books mailed to each registered child in Batavia; we support preschoolers from families of limited financial means by awarding scholarships to pay for preschool. Our Community Assistance Fund is available to all Batavia residents during times of crisis in the form of emergency financial assistance for critical needs.
We host numerous community service events open to groups and individuals to support our residents, like our holiday Adopt-A-Family program, Snow Angels volunteer snow shoveling for seniors, and our Days of Caring projects.
