The Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA) enriches the lives of people with disabilities within the communities it serves. Formed in 1976 as an extension of the Fox Valley, Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia, Sugar Grove, Oswegoland Park Districts and the Village of South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department, we provide a diverse range of year round recreational opportunities to enable residents with disabilities to experience active, healthy and playful lifestyles. FVSRA provides year-round Therapeutic Recreation Services including General Programs, Special Olympics Sports, Leisure Education, Day Camp, Special Events, Travel Opportunities, Individualized Programming, and Social Programs. All participants receive a Therapeutic Recreation Assessment upon registering to assist with proper placement within FVSRA programs. Program brochures are published three times per year? Summer, Fall and Winter/Spring.
